Ticket pricing & principles for this year’s popup village

We are excited to share the ticket pricing for Edge Esmeralda 2025!

Pricing Principles

Encourage longer stays: As you think about how long to attend, we strongly encourage longer rather than shorter. Those who come for the full month will have the most immersive experience, since a large part of what we are testing is different ways of living and working together. As a result, the longer you stay, the cheaper the cost will be per day.

Scholarships: We want to make Edge Esmeralda especially welcoming to people like researchers, scientists, young builders, open source developers, and artists. We have created a special rate for Builders and Scholars to make Edge Esmeralda more accessible to these groups.

Welcoming to families: One of our key design goals is to be family-friendly. We offer Partner/ Spouse tickets at a 25% discount, and we will be announcing kids camp-style programming in February 2025, incorporating our learnings from previous events.

Thank you to locals: We are so thankful to Healdsburg and the wider Sonoma County for hosting us. Local resident tickets and pricing will be announced in February 2025.

Early Bird Pricing

Early bird pricing has now ended, and regular pricing is now in effect. Prices will continue to increase until the event — so we recommend getting your tickets early!

What's Included in Your Ticket

All tickets include:

• Access to all sessions, seminars, events, hackathons, workshops, & beyond

• Dedicated co-working space with meeting rooms, and high-speed internet

• Access to dining hall with subsidized healthy, organic meals

• Sauna, cold plunge, gym facility, and daily workouts

• Priority access to our special hotel rates and housing

• Community activities and events, including weekly community dinners

Note: Accommodation is not included in the ticket price. Ticket holders will get access to subsidized meals & discounted hotel rates on a first-come-first-served basis.

Ticket Prices

Note on our refund policy: All ticket sales are final. we do not offer refunds. However, you can change the dates of your attendance if your plans shift.

Day & Weekend Passes

Here's what's now available:

• Weekday Day Pass — $205: Access to all public programming and communal spaces for a single weekday

• Weekend Day Pass — $260: Includes Saturday or Sunday programming, socials, and evening events

• Full Weekend Pass — $460: From Friday evening through Sunday night—perfect for a full immersive taste of Esmeralda

Patron Donation (VCs, investors, community supporters)

• This tier will include all aspects of a standard ticket, with an additional donation to our 501(c)(3).

• To keep prices accessible for builders and young people, tickets for VCs will cost more. This lets us cultivate an ecosystem focused on building and creation, which in turn creates more opportunities for the VCs who do attend to meet founders and companies to invest in.

• Local resident ticket pricing. (We are offering free tickets if you’re able to house a scholar or researcher – more details to come soon in our housing blog post.)

How will ticket proceeds be spent?

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our intention is for ticket revenue to cover the event expenses. Creating a memorable experience involves significant costs, and it is important that this event is self-sustaining.

For full transparency, the major costs to bring this popup village into being include:

• Building out a co-working space

• Leasing event spaces for seminars and talks

• Wellbeing activities

• Dining hall operations

• Community events; including Friday night community dinners

• Core team, who began planning this gathering 9 months in advance

• Local production support

• Infrastructure and logistics

• Legal fees and insurance

• Scholarships, and supporting those with less financial means to be able to attend
